1. Who we are

PlugRight EV Chargers is a trading name of Evans Oghenefega Ovedje, a sole trader.

In these terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean PlugRight EV Chargers. "You" means the customer.

2. What we do

We supply and install electric vehicle (EV) home chargers.

• Every installation is done by a Safe Electric Registered Electrical Contractor (REC). They work for us as subcontractors.
• We are responsible to you for the whole job, including the work our electricians do.
• The electrician gives you a Safe Electric Completion Certificate when the work is finished.

3. Your quote

• We give you a written quote before you pay anything. It shows the charger, the installation and any extras.
• Your quote is based on the photos and details you send us. Please make sure they are accurate.
• A standard installation costs €1,250. If you get the €300 SEAI grant, that brings it to €950 for you. A standard installation means:
• the charger fitted on an outside wall close to your fuse board
• a short cable run
• no fuse board upgrade
• no digging or trenching
• your quote shows exactly what is included
• Extras are priced on our add-on price list, such as extra cable per metre, a fuse board upgrade or trenching. You see the price before you agree to them.
• If the electrician finds something different on the day, we give you a new written price before doing any extra work. You can say no. If you say no and the standard installation can't be done safely, we treat it as a cancellation under section 8.
• Quotes are valid for 30 days.
• All prices include VAT where it applies.

4. The SEAI grant

• The SEAI EV Home Charger Grant is up to €300. SEAI runs it, not us.
• The installer must be a Safe Electric REC, and the charger must be on the SEAI Smart Charger Register. Our installations meet both rules.
• Work cannot start before the start date on your SEAI Letter of Offer. If it does, SEAI will not pay the grant.
• We can help you apply.
• If you apply yourself, SEAI pays the grant to you after the installation.
• If we apply for you as a 3rd party (when this service is available), SEAI pays the grant to us. In that case we take €300 off your price.
• If SEAI refuses or delays the grant, the full price is still due, unless it was our mistake.

5. Booking and payment

• Deposit: €500 when you book. This pays for your charger.
• Balance: the rest of the price is due when the installation is finished. We send you a payment link with the electrician's completion photo. Please pay within 2 days.
• We take card payments through Stripe. We never see or store your full card details.
• We give you a receipt for every payment.

6. Installation day

• We agree the date with you in writing.
• Please give the electrician safe access to the fuse board, the meter and the charger location.
• The electrician may need to switch off your power for a short time.
• We will leave the work area clean and tidy.
• If we have to change the date, we tell you as soon as we can and offer the next free date.

7. Your right to cancel (14 days)

You agreed this contract by text, phone or online, without meeting us in person. So the law gives you 14 days to cancel, starting the day we confirm your booking in writing.

• To cancel, tell us clearly. Email hello@plugright.ie or use the cancellation form at the end of these terms.
• You do not have to give a reason.
• We refund all payments within 14 days of your cancellation, by the same method you used to pay.

If you want the installation done within the 14 days:

• You must ask us for this in writing, for example by text or email.
• If you then cancel after the work has started, you pay a fair amount for the work done up to that point.
• Once the installation is complete, you can no longer cancel. We will ask you to confirm in writing that you understand this before we start.

8. Cancelling after the 14 days

• If you cancel after the 14 days but before the installation, we refund your deposit minus the costs we have already paid for your job, such as a charger ordered for you.
• We show you these costs.
• If the charger can be returned to our supplier, we refund that part too.
• We may cancel if the installation can't be done safely or legally. If that happens, we refund everything you paid for work not done.

9. Warranty

• Charger: you get the manufacturer's warranty. We tell you the exact length in your quote. Your quote shows how long it lasts.
• Installation: we guarantee the workmanship for 12 months from the installation date. If something goes wrong because of the installation, we send an electrician to fix it free of charge.
• These warranties are on top of your legal rights as a consumer. They do not take away from them.

10. Our responsibility

• Our electricians carry insurance, and so do we.
• We are responsible for loss or damage we cause through our fault.
• We are not responsible for:
• faults in your home's wiring that were there before our work, unless we should have spotted them during the installation
• delays caused by things outside our control
• Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility for death or injury caused by our negligence. Nothing in them takes away your legal rights as a consumer.

11. Complaints

• Please contact us first at hello@plugright.ie. We reply within 5 working days.
• If you are not happy with our answer, you can get advice from the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (ccpc.ie).

12. Your data

We use your personal data as set out in our Privacy Policy at plugright.ie/privacy.

13. Law

These terms are governed by Irish law. The Irish courts can hear any dispute.
